International Studies, Minor
Minor Requirements
The curriculum for the Minor in International Studies consists of three components: a foreign language, study abroad and course work. The specific requirements are as follows:

Courses must be numbered 102 or higher, and appropriate placement is determined in consultation with department chair.

Courses should be selected in consultation with an advisor in the Department of Modern Languages, and should be from one of the following areas: English, History, Art, Political Science, Religion, Philosophy, Anthropology and Sociology, Mass Media and the Brenneman School of Business.

Participation in at least a summer-long study abroad program (four weeks minimum) in the country of the language studied. This can include the language or the international topic courses for the minor, if they are taken abroad. For international students, enrollment in at least 12 hours for a full semester at Washburn will meet this requirement.
